If you enjoy history, check out Walker Tavern Historic Site. The Walker Tavern Sunday Farmers Market is not the only farmers market in the Irish Hills area, there is one held every Saturday in the Village of Manitou on Devils Lake near the shops and Manitou Bar & Grill from 10 to 2 through the summer.
You can find live entertainment throughout the Irish Hills almost every night of the week at a lot of our pubs, restaurants, Cherry Creek Old School House Winery, and Arts in the Park. Just go to the Brooklyn-Irish Hills Chamber of Commerce website, IrishHills.com and look on the calendar of events to find out where your favorite band is playing or where the entertainment is.
One of the things the Irish Hills is known for is our many lakes. US 223 Inland Marine (547-boat) has boat rentals available, and will deliver to any public lake within the Irish Hills. We have many public access parks to swim and enjoy the water. Hayes State Park also rents kayaks, canoes, etc. and Camp Killarney rents boats for the day.
