Adrian, MI and West Hartford, CT – February 6, 2017 – Ninety-six (96) employees of The Simon Konover Company (TSKC) logged in more than 300 volunteer service hours during the two week period ofJanuary 16-27, 2017 as part of The Simon Konover Company Day of Giving Back program.
The Holiday Inn Express Adrian and the Super 8 Adrian, Michigan, which are both owned and managed by affiliates of The Simon Konover Company, participated in the program. Twenty-one (21) associates representing the two hotels contributed 84 volunteer hours at The Daily Bread in Adrian, Michigan.
When the League of Michigan Bicyclists began exploring the possibility of launching a new one-day event, they asked me to investigate three locations around the state, and to evaluate the merits and limitations of each. The case for Adrian was overwhelming.

ADRIAN — Adrian College jumped up four spaces this year on the U.S. News and World Report’s annual ranking of top regional colleges in the nation.
In its 2016 edition of “America’s Best Colleges,” U.S. News has again ranked Adrian College as a “regional top college in the Midwest.” The college is listed 15th in the Midwest region in its “Best Regional Colleges” section, up from 19th a year ago, according to a news release.
Spring has officially sprung, so a trip up north no longer requires cold-weather fortitude. And you need not venture far to get some new scenery: Just an hour over the Michigan border sits a grouping of cozy little towns featuring gardens, resorts, wineries, and hiking trails. Taken together, they make a sweet little warm-weather road trip.
As we look ahead to what 2016 has in store for the Holiday Inn Express we cannot help but to be excited. 2015 was a great year for us as we were well represented within the company and the state bringing home several awards/recognition.
