However, sometimes traditional networking can feel like, well, working! That’s why YP Lenawee was founded—to offer a relaxed and fun alternative that gives young (most of our members are in their 20s and 30s) career-minded individuals a new way to connect socially and professionally, while also strengthening and promoting the economic revitalization, sense of community, and workforce development in Lenawee County.

So what exactly is YP Lenawee? It is a non-profit organization that was founded in October of 2011 by three of Lenawee County’s young professionals, Meredith Matthews and Sadie and Cary Carrico who wanted to create an easy way for young professionals to meet one another and network. YP Lenawee members meet monthly to build relationships and connections without being obligated to spend a lot of money or a lot of time. The group gatherings offer fun, fellowship, an opportunity to learn something new about each other and Lenawee County businesses, as well as the option to be proactive about reinvesting in our own community and futures

YP Lenawee currently has more than 40 members that meet the third week of every month (Tuesdays through Fridays), meeting on alternating days of that week to give young professionals that may not be able to meet certain days a couple of options. Joining is as easy completing a membership application and mailing it back or bringing it with you to the next lunch. Due to our generous corporate sponsors, we are able to provide individual memberships for just $50 per calendar year which includes all lunches!

With the pace of life today, finding the time to connect with other like-minded professionals can be difficult, and for those of us who are in the beginning to middle stages of our careers joining more formal networking clubs can seem a bit intimidating from a time-commitment and financial standpoint. So if you’re looking for a way to develop relationships that support your success without adding one more obligation to your calendar YP Lenawee invites you to join us!

We look forward to meeting you!
