LISD Career Exploration Camp- Farm Animal Frenzy

Career Connection: Agri-Tech
Through this camp, campers will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a variety of livestock
species while learning about careers in agriculture. Campers will learn about livestock production by learning
how to care for and handle horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, rabbits, and chickens. Some of the activities
campers will be participating in are; creating a model chicken coop, shearing sheep, dyeing wool, hatching
chicken eggs in an incubator, and a genetics “build a calf” activity. Through these activities, campers will learn
about a variety of career fields in the agricultural industry such as livestock production, agricultural
engineering, and genetics.

Fees and Registration
Cost: $60 per week for Lenawee County residents/ $85 per week of out-of-county residents
Fees are all inclusive. All materials, activities, lunches, and snacks are covered by the cost of registration.
Needs-based scholarships are available.
Age Requirements: Camper’s age for camp is as of the first day of camp.
Registration Begins: April 27, 2021, starting at 5:00 p.m.
