Join us at the Sam Beauford Woodshop to create your own Raccoon Carving Class.
Intarsia is a woodworking technique that uses varied shapes, sizes, and species of wood fitted together to create a mosaic-like picture with an illusion of depth. After selecting the specific woods to be used within the pattern, each piece is then individually cut, shaped, and finished. In this course you will learn how to create your very own intarsia Raccoon. you will learn how to use the scroll saw, 1in belt sander, and palm sander. The finished project will be 18 in x 13 in.

Assessment of Learning:
Students will have a completed intarsia creation to take home and display for generations.
